Guided Growth Supportive Services - Developmental Support Specialist (Pediatric) / Adult Support Worker / Senior Support Worker

Guided Growth Supportive Services is a warm, multidisciplinary, neuro‑affirming agency serving children, youth, adults, and seniors across Calgary. Our work is grounded in dignity, autonomy, and gentle, relationship‑centred support. We believe care should feel human, calm, and respectful — whether we’re supporting a child in play or a senior in their daily routines.

We are hiring for three distinct support roles.

1. Developmental Support Specialist (Pediatric)

Ages 2–18 Play‑Based Multidisciplinary Team

Development Support Specialists work only with pediatric clients. This role supports children and youth in home and community environments, using play‑based, strengths‑focused strategies designed by SLPs, OTs, and BCBAs.

Responsibilities

- Support routines, transitions, emotional regulation, and independence
- Implement child‑led, play‑based strategies from clinicians
- Assist with communication practice, sensory regulation, and executive functioning
- Support community outings and meaningful activities
- Maintain clear, warm communication with families and clinicians

2. Adult Support Worker Independence Community Access Daily Living

Adult Support Workers support adults with disability in home and community settings, focusing on independence, safety, and meaningful engagement.

Responsibilities

- Assist with routines, organization, and daily living




- Provide companionship and safety monitoring
- Support meal prep, light housekeeping, and structured activities
- Implement strategies designed by multidisciplinary clinicians
- Maintain clear documentation and communication

3. Senior Support Worker

Companionship Routines Support

Senior Support Workers provide warm, reliable support to seniors in home and community environments.

Responsibilities

- Companionship, conversation, and meaningful social engagement
- Assistance with routines, mobility (if trained), and safety
- Light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
- Support with appointments, errands, and outings
- Calm, structured support for memory‑related needs

General Requirements (All Roles) To maintain safety and professionalism across all Guided Growth Supportive services, all applicants must have:

- Own vehicle and valid car insurance (travel required across Calgary)
- Clean Criminal Record Check and IRC (Intervention Record Check)
- Current First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it after hiring
- Ability to work independently in homes and community settings
- Warm communication, reliability, and professionalism
- Comfort working within a multidisciplinary, strengths‑based, neuro‑affirming agency

Compensation

- Hourly compensation, based on experience and role
- Competitive rates for pediatric, adult, and senior support services
