Join the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre as a Peer Services Navigator, supporting women in the Downtown Eastside area of Vancouver. Enhance access to essential services and programs for homeless women. This full-time position is dedicated to guiding women who are homeless or at risk, offering critical access to supports while collaborating with DEWC staff.
As a Peer Services Navigator, you will work from a feminist and anti-oppression framework, prioritizing the needs of women in crisis while managing a busy work environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist women in navigating services and support systems
- Work collaboratively with DEWC staff for integrated care
- Organize records, schedules, and problem-solving activities
- Provide referrals to local community resources
- Implement trauma-informed care methodologies in practice Requirements:
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of issues surrounding homelessness and violence
- First Aid Certification and NVCI, or willingness to obtain
- Robust organizational skills for dynamic environments
- Knowledge of Downtown Eastside community resources Utilize your expertise to empower women living in extreme poverty at DEWC.
