We embrace diversity and inclusion.What You Need:Ten to fifteen years of experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance/repair preferredExperience and/or education/training in pneumatic controls, welding, hydraulics, farm equipment is an asset.Must be eligible to work in Canada for any employer, without restrictions.What You'll Do:Has knowledge of all farm operations, equipment, and maintenance responsibilitiesHas low voltage electrical experience and knowledge; completes minor electrical jobsPerforms minor and major repairs on buildings and equipment unsupervised including, but not limited to, welding, replacing, and repairing parts, hydraulics, pneumatics, low voltage electrical, and equipment, buildings and facilitiesTrains new maintenance associates on PM's, repairs, troubleshooting farm equipment and secure operation of equipment.Completes preventative maintenance duties and completes checklists as assignedPerforms operational checks on boilers as scheduled (L, K only) and cropping room checks after case days (verifies safety of catwalks, front of room, trays, straightens legs,
etc.)Assists in evaluating jobs and determines requirementsMay operate a computer which controls and monitors mechanical equipment and utility systemsResponds to emergency maintenance requests as requiredAssists and supports contractorsAssists in verifying that smoke detectors and fire extinguishers are operable, as requestedAssists maintenance personnel with major and minor repairsPerforms building upkeep, including shop cleaning, painting, removing garbage, etc.Performs occasional grounds keeping as requiredInstalls, repairs and inspects air bags and air handling systems in each room for damageConstructs catwalks and front of rooms as neededObserves and reports any issues on farmAble to come in after hour call-insPerforms any other duties as assigned.Hours of Work:5 to 6 days / weekApproximately 40 to 50 hours / weekPublic Holidays / Weekends as scheduledDaily shift end times vary based on production needsEarnings:$32.00 per hourBenefits:Extended health, vision and dental for associates and their eligible family membersLife insurance and dependent life insuranceShort term disabilityAnnual safety shoe allowancePension matchingOvertime eligibleJob Type: Permanent, Full-TimeVacancies: 2Locations of Work:506 Mersea Rd. 5, Leamington, ON N8H 3V52646 Division Rd., Kingsville, ON N9Y 2E5Highline encourages applications from all qualified candidates.
