We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Taper to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for finishing drywall surfaces by applying joint compound, taping seams, and preparing walls for painting or other finishes. Your expertise will help ensure smooth, professional-looking walls that meet high-quality standards.

Responsibilities
- Apply joint compound (also known as mud) to drywall seams, corners, and screw holes with precision and efficiency
- Tape drywall joints using appropriate techniques to create seamless surfaces
- Sand and smooth finished surfaces to prepare for painting or other finishing work
- Caulk and seal gaps around windows, doors, and wall fixtures for a polished appearance
- Read blueprints and project plans to understand specifications and ensure accurate application of materials
- Use hand tools such as knives, trowels, sanders, and brushes effectively to complete tasks
- Collaborate with carpenters, painters,
and other tradespeople to coordinate project timelines and quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in drywall finishing or related construction roles
- Knowledge of construction painting, caulking, and general carpentry skills
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Handyman experience with various tools and repair techniques preferred
- Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy materials, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday
