Educational Assistant

Location: West Park Elementary School

30 hours weekly, 2 positions

Commencing as soon as suitable candidates are found until June 30, 2027.

Temporary positions replacing a leave of absence.

We are seeking two caring, professional, and collaborative Educational Assistants to join a strong classroom team. The successful candidate will support a diverse group of students with a range of academic, social, emotional, behavioural, and language needs.

Desirable Qualifications And Skills

- Educational Assistant Certificate or related training is an asset
- Able to build authentic, trusting relationships with students and provide individualized academic and behavioural support
- Encourages confidence, independence, and inclusion
- Works closely with teachers to support learning and classroom routines
- Communicates respectfully with students, staff, and families
- Remains calm, adaptable, and solutions-focused
- Demonstrates professionalism, reliability, discretion, and teamwork
- Genuinely enjoys working with children, recognizes their strengths, and contributes positively to a caring, collaborative school community
- Comfortable supporting personal care needs including lifting and toileting as required
