Overview

AtkinsRéalis is in search of an Electrical Designer to work within a multi-discipline team to design efficient and reliable electrical substations and distribution network. They will assist Design Engineer to coordinate design activities to maintain project schedules and ensure successful project completion. They will also assist the estimating team in preparation of estimates and project proposals, as required. This position is accountable to provide all design activities with all applicable codes and standards, including all of AtkinsRéalis’ policies and procedures, such as Safety, Environmental, Quality Assurance and Quality Control. Also, conduct thorough analysis of power consumption in accordance, collaborates with internal and external stakeholders. Your role

- Conduct thorough analysis of power consumption for past expansion projects to timely process the settlement and release of line of credit.
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to support the review of offer to connect (OTC) for expansion projects and ensure standards and conditions of service guidelines are met.
- Runs periodic checks on database tables to ensure that the data is valid and consistent.
- Works collaboratively with internal organizational stakeholders across the company to confirm customer disputes related to connections are resolved, investigated, and/or acted upon in a timely and effective manner.
- Supports Customer Connections teams to report and maintain records of customer interactions with quality and accuracy using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and/or other systems.
- Review electrical, civil, or plan & profile design drawings and single line diagrams shared by internal and external stakeholders.




- Develop process maps and workflow visualizations to support strategic decision making.
- Extracting large volumes of project data into Excel and identify trends.

About you

- Degree in Electrical Engineering graduate from a recognized university.
- A minimum of 0-2 years of experience as Designer in the field of Distribution is considered to have gained the required experience for the position.
- Experience in Toronto Hydro or other distribution utility CADD Standards.
- Good knowledge of North American codes and standards such as IEEE and ANSI.
- Good knowledge in SAP platform works.
- Good understanding of Connect (OTC) Settlement reviews in compliance with utility standards.
- Good written and verbal communication skills as this position will be required coordinated cross-functional meetings between Finance, Legal, and Customer Connections.
