Payroll Administrator We are partnering with our client to hire a dependable and detail-oriented

Payroll Administrator

to oversee payroll operations for both their internal team and a portfolio of external client accounts. This role requires exceptional accuracy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple payroll cycles and systems. The ideal candidate will exercise discretion when handling confidential information and deliver a high level of service to both internal staff and external clients.

Key Responsibilities

Process biweekly and monthly payroll for internal salaried and hourly employees while maintaining accurate employee records, managing adjustments, benefits deductions, and leave tracking, and ensuring compliance with payroll policies and legislation.

Handle end-to-end payroll processing for a portfolio of client accounts, including collecting payroll data, calculating wages and deductions, submitting direct deposits and remittances, preparing tax filings, and generating pay stubs, reports, and year-end forms (W-2s, 1099s, T4s).

Serve as the main point of contact for client payroll needs by responding to inquiries,



resolving discrepancies promptly, and ensuring a smooth and accurate payroll experience.

Maintain compliance with all federal, state/provincial, and local payroll and tax regulations while safeguarding sensitive payroll and client information.

Reconcile payroll data regularly, investigate and resolve discrepancies, and stay up to date on changes in payroll legislation and best practices.

Qualifications

Proven payroll administration experience, ideally supporting both in-house payroll and client-service environments.

Proficiency with payroll systems such as ADP, QuickBooks Payroll, and Bullhorn, along with strong Excel skills.

Strong understanding of payroll legislation, tax filing requirements, and regulatory compliance.

High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.

Strong communication and client service skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities.

Education & Experience

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

2–4 years of payroll processing experience required.

Experience in public accounting or outsourced payroll environments preferred.

CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) designation is an asset.
