Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) is a multi-site organization that includes the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital Site and the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital Site, and together we provide outstanding, integrated care to support people in living their healthiest lives.OverviewReporting to the Vice President, Strategy, Corporate Services & Chief Financial Officer, the Director, Diagnostic Services & Project Management is responsible and accountable for the strategic leadership, operational performance, and continuous improvement of Diagnostic Services at Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC), including Diagnostic Imaging, Laboratory Services, and Central Registration and Scheduling. The Director provides leadership in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of these services to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centred care that aligns with MAHC's strategic priorities, mission, vision, and values. The Director is also responsible for the oversight of MAHC's Project Management Office (PMO), providing leadership for the planning, coordination, execution, monitoring, and successful completion of organizational projects and initiatives. In this capacity, the Director ensures effective project governance, resource utilization, risk management, and stakeholder engagement while supporting the achievement of organizational goals and transformation initiatives. Working collaboratively with members of MAHC's Leadership Team, physicians, staff, and external partners, the Director oversees projects and system initiatives that impact MAHC services, operations, and patient care delivery. The role fosters strong internal and external partnerships to advance integrated care, improve patient experiences, and support system-wide planning and innovation. The Director champions a culture of excellence, patient safety, quality improvement, accountability, and staff engagement. The position is accountable for ensuring seamless, consistent, timely,
and high-quality services across the continuum of care and for leading teams to achieve measurable outcomes that support MAHC's Strategic Plan and organizational objectives.ROLEProvide operational and clinical leadership to support safe, high-quality patient care and patient support services across a 24/7 healthcare environmentPartner with internal leaders, physicians, staff, and external stakeholders to promote integrated, patient-centred care across the continuumLead the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, procedures, standards, and goals aligned with best practices and organizational prioritiesOversee departmental planning, budgeting, and resource management to support strategic and operational objectivesOversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of the project management portfolio to ensure it is on time, within scope, within budget, and aligned with the hospital's strategic objectivesMonitors program performance, quality indicators, utilization trends, and patient experience data to drive continuous improvementSupport workforce planning, recruitment, retention, performance management, and staff development in collaboration with Human Resources and operational leadersFoster a culture of teamwork, accountability, communication, recognition, and continuous learning across interdisciplinary teamsEnsure readiness for accreditation activities and compliance with professional, ethical, legal, and organizational standardsProvide leadership in operational risk management, conflict resolution, workload planning, and capital equipment evaluationRepresent the organization on committees, partnerships, and initiatives,
