This full-time position demands strong verbal de-escalation skills and professionalism in managing challenging behaviors at a community shelter. As a Security Professional - Shelter Guard, you will handle rapid-paced incidents and ensure a safe environment for all residents, maintaining a respectful atmosphere within the shelter. Shifts will be overnight from 7pm to 7am on a rotating schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor access control for the shelter premises
• Respond effectively to behavioral incidents




• Perform routine safety patrols inside and outside
• Engage in emergency response and management
• Write detailed incident reports for staff communication
Requirements:
• Minimum 1-2 years relevant security experience
• Positive communication skills and conflict resolution
• Valid Ontario Security Guard License needed
• CPR and First Aid certification required
• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
