The Emergency Security Agent (Medic), assigned to one of Pinkerton's largest global clients, will provide emergency medical response and medical-readiness support across corporate facilities, special events, and security-related incidents. This role combines clinical capability with corporate security awareness, discretion, and composure under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
- Respond to workplace violence, deescalate volatile situations, emergency evacuations, and special events alongside Corporate Security.
- Provide assessment, first aid, CPR/AED, and trauma response during workplace emergencies, events, and security incidents.
- Prioritize scene safety, patient stabilization, activation of public EMS, and clear transfer of care.
- Maintain compassionate, confidential care and accurate incident documentation.
- Assist with incident command, emergency communications, public-safety coordination, and after-action reviews.
- Perform security-related duties only when clearly defined, legally permitted, and appropriately trained/licensed.
- Maintain first-aid supplies, and trauma kits.
- Deliver or coordinate CPR/AED, first-aid,
and bleeding-control training for security personnel and designated employees.
- Establish relationships with local EMS, fire, police, hospitals, and occupational-health resources.
- All other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
Degree preferred with at least three years in EMS, emergency care, occupational health, event medicine, or comparable response environment. An active and unrestricted British Colombia clinical credential (EMR, PCP, ACP, CCP, RN, or equivalent) plus a British Colombia Security Worker license are required. This position is not a substitute for public EMS, fire, or police. All clinical care is delivered within the employee's active provincial/territorial credential, authorized scope, company protocols, and applicable clinical oversight.
- Knowledge of corporate security, executive-protection, high-profile event, or remote-site medical operations, preferred.
- Instructor credentials in first aid, CPR/AED, bleeding control, or emergency communications, preferred.
- Knowledge of confidential employee information and privacy-compliance requirements, preferred.
- Current CPR/AED, workplace first-aid, and trauma-response certifications.
- Able to assess incidents, deescalate, communicate clearly, and coordinate handoff to public responders.
- Effective written communication and incident report writing skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively across security, facilities, HR, legal, and executive stakeholders.
- Able to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
- Problem resolution skills.
- Able to support site-specific first-aid compliance in consultation with provincial/territorial authorities.
- Sound judgement with the ability to analyze situations quickly.
- Able to gather and communicate accurate incident details and information.

- Travel, as required.

Posted Salary Range
