We are seeking an Environmental Account Manager to strengthen relationships with our existing customers and expand the environmental testing services they use. This is a highly visible position that will report directly to leadership and work closely with our laboratory, technical and sales teams.

How This Role Fits The Environmental Account Manager owns the growth and retention of established customer relationships. The role works with existing customers to understand their programs, identify unmet testing needs and expand their use of A&L; services.

This position complements the Environmental Sales Executive team, which is responsible for acquiring new customers. Following the onboarding and transition of a new customer, the Environmental Account Manager assumes responsibility for developing the long-term relationship, supporting retention and identifying opportunities for continued account growth.

The Chance The Environmental Account Manager will manage and grow a portfolio of existing customers. The successful candidate will review customer testing activity, identify unmet needs and develop opportunities to introduce additional A&L; services.

This role is particularly focused on expanding A&L;’s presence in compost, biosolids, sludge, digestate, wastewater and other environmental testing markets.

The ideal candidate will bring experience from the waste management, environmental consulting, engineering, composting,



wastewater or analytical laboratory sectors. Knowledge of compost quality, environmental compliance or laboratory testing would be a strong asset.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop strong, long-term relationships with existing environmental and agriculture-sector customers.
- Review customer accounts, testing activity and service utilization to identify opportunities for growth.
- Introduce customers to additional testing services that support their operational, regulatory and environmental requirements.
- Develop account growth plans and measurable revenue targets for assigned customers.
- Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across A&L;’s environmental testing portfolio.
- Work with laboratory and technical teams to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate testing services.
- Conduct customer meetings, site visits, presentations and account reviews.

- Support customer retention by proactively addressing concerns and coordinating internal solutions.
- Maintain accurate customer, opportunity and activity records in the company’s CRM system.
- Prepare account forecasts, activity reports and revenue updates for leadership.
- Monitor industry developments, regulatory changes and emerging customer needs.
- Represent A&L; at industry events, conferences and customer meetings.
- Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory.

Priority Service Areas The Account Manager will initially focus on:

- PFAS testing
- Biosolids and sludge
- Compost, NASM and digestate




- Environmental chemistry
- Environmental microbiology
- Remediation support
- Wastewater-related compliance testing

Longer-term opportunities may include drinking water, air testing, petroleum hydrocarbons, environmental fate and ecotoxicology services.

Qualifications

- Post-secondary education in environmental science, chemistry, biology, agriculture, engineering, business or a related discipline.
- Approximately three or more years of experience in account management, environmental consulting, waste management, laboratory services or a related industry.
- Knowledge of compost quality, biosolids, wastewater, environmental compliance or analytical testing is strongly preferred.
- Experience working for an environmental consulting or engineering firm, waste management company, municipality, laboratory or related service provider would be an asset.

- Demonstrated ability to grow existing customer relationships and identify new revenue opportunities.
- Strong communication, presentation and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to translate technical information into practical recommendations for customers.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
- Experience using a CRM system such as HubSpot is an asset.
- Valid driver’s licence and passport and willingness to travel regularly.

Compensation

- Base salary range: $80,000–$90,000 annually
- Target incentive compensation based on account growth, customer retention and achievement of established objectives
- Benefits and other company programs in accordance with A&L; Canada policies
