This casual role operates Monday through Friday at the Arthur J.E. Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre. In this position, you’ll work under the guidance of the Research Operations Lead, assisting with various tasks like specimen handling, cleaning lab equipment, and data entry. Your contribution will help advance knowledge regarding cancer and chronic disease prevention.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collect and process biosamples from ATP participants
• Sort and receive laboratory specimens efficiently
• Perform basic lab tests and adhere to safety protocols
• Clean and maintain lab equipment and spaces
• Handle data entry and assist with patient queries
Requirements:
• Grade 12 completion or equivalent education
• Accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program completion
• Previous phlebotomy experience is essential
• Experience with dry ice handling and TDG certification
• Satisfactory criminal record check required
