Vancouver Whitecaps FC is seeking a dynamic, proactive, and hands-on Facility Assistant to support the daily operations of our training facility, the National Soccer Development Centre (NSDC).

This role plays an important part in ensuring the NSDC is clean, safe, organized, and operating efficiently for our athletes, coaches, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate is reliable, resourceful, and comfortable taking initiative in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the Coordinator, Facilities with the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the NSDC.
- Ensure the facility, grounds, equipment, and common areas are clean, safe, organized, and well-maintained.
- Conduct regular inspections and identify maintenance, repair, or operational issues, escalating concerns as required.
- Assist with addressing recurring maintenance and repair issues and support preventative maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate inventories of facility supplies, equipment, and other operational materials.
- Complete routine facility logs, checklists, reports, and documentation.
- Assist with facility setups, takedowns, deliveries, and other operational requirements as needed.
- Perform driving duties, including transportation of supplies and equipment, as required.
- Respond to changing priorities and support additional facility and operational tasks as needed.
- Demonstrate initiative in identifying opportunities to improve the cleanliness, organization, safety, and efficiency of the facility.
- Work collaboratively with internal departments, vendors, contractors, and other facility users to support a high standard of service.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Previous experience in facilities, building operations, maintenance, hospitality, recreation, sports,



or a similar operational environment is an asset.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Highly reliable, organized, and proactive, with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 30lbs and performing hands-on, physically demanding tasks.
- Valid and clean BC Class 5 driver's license.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays, as required.
