We’re hiring a Family Lawyer (2+ Years’ Experience) to join our growing boutique law firm in South Calgary.

This role is ideal for a lawyer who enjoys family law but wants to practise it with more autonomy, less bureaucracy, and a genuinely supportive team around them .

At DLegal, we believe experienced lawyers do their best work when they are trusted to manage their files, build strong client relationships, and use their own judgment — without unnecessary layers of management.

What You’ll Do

- Manage your own family law files from intake through resolution
- Advise clients on separation, divorce, parenting, child and spousal support, and property division
- Draft and negotiate separation agreements, parenting agreements, cohabitation agreements, and other family law documents
- Attend mediations, judicial dispute resolutions, applications, and other court appearances as required
- Communicate directly with clients and guide them through what is often one of the most difficult periods of their lives
- Work independently while having access to a collaborative team when you want another perspective

What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of Alberta family law experience
- Robust knowledge of Alberta family law legislation and procedure
- Experience managing files independently
- Strong drafting, negotiation,



and client-management skills
- Confidence appearing before the Alberta Court of Justice and Court of King’s Bench
- Practical judgment and a solution-focused approach
- Someone who is organized, responsive, and comfortable taking ownership of their practice
