Be a key advocate for families with McMan Calgary & Area as a Family Support Worker. This 12-month contract role includes in-home supports, goal planning, and crisis management.
As a Family Support Worker, you will provide crucial assistance through home visits, counselling, and community advocacy for families facing complex needs. Your background in social work or psychology combined with hands-on experience with diverse families will be significant in fostering positive changes. Your ability to work independently coupled with crisis management skills will enhance family well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct home visits to support families in need • Collaborate in goal planning and crisis intervention • Provide advocacy and effective referrals to services • Ensure accurate documentation and utilizing assessment tools • Be available for on-call support during evenings/weekends
Requirements: • Degree/diploma in Social Work or related discipline • Minimum of three years’ direct family support experience • Knowledge of cultural and socio-economic family dynamics • Experience with mental health and social services • Completion of First Aid and background checks
