Advance wetland research at the University of Waterloo as a full time Field Technician. Engage in hands-on fieldwork and lab management to support environmental studies. This role involves working under Dr.

Rooney to facilitate key research initiatives in wetland ecology. You will be responsible for executing assigned experiments, from data collection in the field to ensuring laboratory accuracy and safety. Your logistical and technical skills will help maintain high standards for field and lab protocols while collaborating with graduate students for efficient research planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure compliance with fieldwork licensing and permits
- Collect and process samples according to standardized protocols




- Execute data entry and quality assurance workflow
- Manage logistics and safety for lab inspections
- Support experimental plant cultures and equipment maintenance Requirements:
- BSc degree; MSc in Biology preferred
- 2 years of corresponding field experience
- Valid G class driver’s license
- Knowledge of ArcMAP and MS Office software
