Provide expert financial planning support for the Department of Municipal and Community Affairs in Yellowknife. This role focuses on budget management and resource allocation decisions. As a Financial Planning and Budget Officer, you'll report to the Manager of Financial Services.
This position requires solid skills in financial analysis, budget forecasting, and ensuring adherence to GAAP principles. With a focus on the Department's annual budgets, you'll play a critical role in tracking submissions and managing revenue budgets effectively. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage ongoing financial control of departmental budgets
- Monitor Financial Management Board submissions and decisions
- Track financial implications of third-party agreements
- Consolidate financial planning and budget exercises
- Support senior management with financial planning advice Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, accounting, or related field
- Completion of third level towards a recognized accounting designation
- At least two years of directly related experience
