We are seeking a reliable, motivated Techncian Assistant for a casual, on-call position. This role is strictly for Fridays (shift starting around 9:00 AM and finishing around 3:00 PM), servicing client sites across the Lower Mainland. You will work directly alongside a Senior Fire Inspection Technician, providing hands-on support during routine fire alarm system inspections, testing, and maintenance.

This is an ideal entry-level opportunity to gain practical experience in the life safety and fire protection industry.

Key Responsibilities

Fire Panel Assistance: Assist the senior technician with operating, testing, and monitoring the main fire alarm control panel during system inspections.

Tool & Parts Handling: Hand tools, replacement components, and testing devices directly to the senior technician during service calls.

Job Site Setup & Teardown: Transport, stage, and clean up equipment, devices, and supplies at various client sites across the Lower Mainland.

Device Testing Support: Assist in testing smoke detectors, pull stations, heat sensors,



and notification appliances across client facilities.

General Support: Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with basic site operations as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Reliable, punctual, and strictly available for Friday shifts (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM approx.).

Ability to travel to various job sites across the Lower Mainland.

Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to follow instructions carefully.

Physical ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift up to 25 lbs. (If needed)
