WestCana is seeking a reliable and motivated Float Maintenance Technician to join our team on a casual, on-call basis. If you take pride in maintaining safe, comfortable environments and enjoy making a difference in the lives of seniors, we'd love to hear from you.

- Status: Casual, On-Call
- Wage: $25.07 - $26.47 per hour

Maintenance Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous facility maintenance experience is preferred
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Proven organizational skills and ability to work under strict time constraints
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Valid WHMIS certification upon hire (maintained annually)
- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination
- Ability to pass and maintain a explicit Ministry of Justice Criminal Record Check (upon hire and every 5 years thereafter)

Maintenance Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on building systems (plumbing, painting, carpentry etc.)
- Conduct inspections of equipment and facilities to identify issues
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management
- Maintain records of repairs and maintenance activities
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Assist with moving furniture, setting up equipment, and other general facility tasks
