Responsibilities
- Coordinate between kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Verify that each dish meets quality standards before it reaches the guest
- Organize and prioritize orders for efficient service flow
- Communicate special requests or dietary restrictions clearly to kitchen team
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including plating and garnishing
- Maintain cleanliness of work stations and ensure proper food handling procedures are followed
- Support food safety protocols by adhering to hygiene standards and proper sanitation practices
- Use POS systems such as Micros POS for order tracking and updating status information
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to resolve any order discrepancies or delays promptly
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including serving, food preparation, and cashiering roles
- Familiarity with POS systems like Micros POS or similar platforms
- Experience with food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and guests
- Hospitality or hotel experience is a plus, demonstrating excellent guest service skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
- Background in meal preparation, cleaning, cooking, or barista roles is advantageous
