Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to load, unload, and transport goods throughout the warehouse
- Perform heavy lifting tasks with proper technique to handle large or bulky items efficiently
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movement and update records accurately
- Assist with order picking by selecting products based on order specifications, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and equipment to maintain safety standards and report any maintenance needs
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock and optimizing storage space
- Follow safety procedures diligently during all operations, including proper handling of materials and equipment
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers in a warehouse setting
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and perform minor repairs or maintenance
- Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes and inventory management systems
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, measurements, and order accuracy
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing, walking, and working in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picking procedures is preferred
- Valid forklift certification is required; additional certifications for clamp trucks or other equipment are a plus
