Lac Ste. Anne Foundation is hiring a Permanent Casual Cook at Spruce View Lodge in Whitecourt. Focus on meal preparation and serving for the elderly community in a lively environment.
This position, reporting to the Site Manager, involves cooking for approximately 50 residents, managing dietary needs crucial for seniors. Candidates must be in tune with Canada’s Food Guide while also possessing the physical endurance needed for kitchen duties. Strong interpersonal skills and organizational ability are key to succeeding in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cook and serve meals following dietary guidelines
• Ensure food services area remains clean and protected
• Engage positively with senior residents during service
• Apply strong teamwork principles in kitchen tasks
• Lift and handle various food items as required
Requirements:
• High School Diploma essential
• Completion of Food Handlers Course
• WHMIS certification necessary
• Level 4 Criminal Record Check must be obtained
• Knowledge of dietary requirements for seniors
