Purpose:Governs, oversees, and directs the administrative units and functions within the Mohawk Council ofKahnawà:ke(MCK). Ensures standards and systems of management are in place by overseeing the process of operational planning, including but not limited to the development of strategies, standards, policy and procedures, and roles and responsibilities in adherence to Council delegatedunitmandates forAdministrative Services, Human Resources, Information Management,andOrganizational Development.Ensures proper planning, implementation, management, and control over all administrative unit-related activities with the goal of providing high-quality services and ensuring business continuity throughout the organization.Communicates with various groups and units to ensure alignment of vision and goals.Roles & Responsibilities:Ensures the development and administration of the management systems for theAdministrative Services,Human Resources,Information Management,andOrganizational Developmentunits.Ensures strategies and plans are set, implemented,monitored,and reported.Establishes andissuespolicies, directives, and guidelines.Establishes and issues standards and controls.Ensures decisions, activities, expenditures, and management practicescomply withpolicies, includingthe Executive Limitations Policy,andtakes corrective measures asrequired.In collaboration withdirectors,identifieskey financial and operational risks andensuresappropriatemitigationplans are in place.Provides information, advice,and guidance to stakeholders during the development, revision,and implementation of policies and standards.Guides the development of functions, structures,and systems, ensuringappropriate alignmentsthroughout.Advises and seeks approval from the Executive Office, the Finance, Administration,andOperations Committee, andtheCouncil of Chiefs asappropriate.GovernstheAdministrative Services, Information Management, Human Resources,andOrganizational DevelopmentUnits.Determinesthe decision-making, oversight, and compliance frameworks.Ensures alignment with the community shared vision, comprehensive community plan, and the MCK vision, mission,



political priorities,andstrategic plan.Determinesand delegates authority and responsibilityasrequired.Provides executive leadership and governance for the organization.Contributes to the leadership and governance of the organization as a key member of the executive team.Contributes to the development and implementation of the MCK Vision, Mission, Values,and Strategic Plan.Demonstrates the MCK values when communicating with employees and other stakeholders.Acts as a designated stand-in for other members of the executive team during short-term absences, such as vacations, asrequired.Providespreliminary budget approvals for relevant units, considering organizational feasibility, sustainability,and responsibility.Participatesinvariousportfolios,committees,and working groupsas assigned.Provides leadership to the team.Manages the human resources requirements of direct reports (hiring, performance management, training, succession planning, time sheets, etc.).Provides coaching and mentoring, sets and measures performance indicators, and fosters growth and learning.Ensures effective communication and collaboration among team members by fosteringcooperationand promoting ownership to achieve results.Delegates appropriately to unit leadership for policies, projects, procedures, and operationalmattersand ensures that issues are brought forth in a cohesive manner to the Executive Team and the Council of Chiefs.Provides strategic oversight and leadership for major projects, ensuring projects align with organizational goals and priorities, progress ismonitored, resources areallocatedeffectively, key milestones are met, andtimelyreporting is carried out.Meets regularly with the team to discuss strategicandoperational plansand track, measure,and document progress.Leads organizational change initiatives and models the values, behaviors, and leadership practices that support a positive, high-performing,



and accountable workplace culture.Education & Experience:Master's Degree in Business Administrationwith a concentration in Management, plus three (3)yearsrelevant experience.ORBachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Public Administration,or related fieldplus five (5)yearsrelevant experience.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:Knowledge of business administration and planning.Knowledge of human resource principles and practices.Knowledge of information technology, data management and governance, and records management.Knowledge of organizational developmentandstrategic planning.Knowledge of performance and program evaluation processes and project management skills.Strong change management skills.Motivational and team management skills.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.High levelof integrityandresults-oriented.Sound judgment and decision-making skills.Conveys a professional and positive image and attitude.ProficiencyinWordandExcel,with theability to learnand usevarioussoftware applications.Knowledge of MCK policies and procedures,an asset.Conducts business with internal and external clients in a tactful, discreet,and courteous manner.Maintains confidentiality.Adheresto the MCK Administration Manual-Personnel Policy andKanien'kéhaLanguage initiatives.Ability to communicate in theKanien'kéhaand French languages is an asset.The willingness to learn theKanien'kéhalanguage.Working Environment:Occasional overtime may be required.Five-day work week and normal and/or virtual office environment.Moderate travel.Maintains a flexible work schedule to meet the demands ofthe Executive Office.Works in a rapid-paced, high-demand environment requiring the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, andmaintainproductivity while delivering high-quality results.Benefits:Organizational eventsPensionDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programExtended health care (telemedicine, health professionals, etc.)Life insuranceOn-site parkingWellness program20 vacation days15 wellness days*Benefitsevolve and can be subject to change. #J-18808-Ljbffr
