We’re a fast-growing international events company operating across Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, South Africa, the USA and beyond, delivering large-scale tours and branded live event concepts.

We’re building a friendly pool of experienced Freelance Event Managers to help advance and deliver our live events across Canada.

This is a flexible freelance role for people with solid event experience who enjoy taking an event from preparation all the way through to delivery. It’s more than running the show on the night: you’ll advance the event beforehand, making sure every detail is confirmed and everyone involved is ready, then lead it on the day from doors open to load out.

Advancing is where it all comes together

Working with the Event Coordinators, Event Managers own the advancing process and chase anything still missing - logistics, production, theme pack information, running order and set times, logins, access codes and key contacts. The aim is simple: walk into every show fully prepared. An event isn’t really advanced until every item is confirmed rather than assumed, so we’d rather you follow up early than wait for information to find you.

What you’ll be doing

Advancing the event (before the show)

- Taking the information provided by your Event Coordinator and working it into a fully confirmed advance for each event you work
- Actively chasing anything outstanding or unclear
- Liaising with the venue on logistics, timings, entry, sound/AV and any venue-specific requirements
- Confirming performers, DJs and suppliers, and making sure everyone has the information, tracks and timings they need
- Gathering and confirming production and theme pack information, running order and set times
- Confirming entry and door setup — ticket scanning logins, access codes and door payment
- Identifying contingencies and being ready for the things that can go wrong





Delivering the event (on the day)

- Acting as the on-site operational lead and single point of contact for everyone at the event
- Coordinating performers, DJs, entertainment teams, venue staff and suppliers
- Ensuring arrivals are on time for soundchecks and show times
- Managing stage timings and cueing performers on and off stage
- Running the door, scanning tickets, managing guestlists and handling cash-ups / door payments
- Troubleshooting independently and making confident operational decisions, with our team on hand when something genuinely needs escalating
- Overseeing show take-down and pack-down
- Submitting a short end-of-night report the following morning
- Ensuring the event runs smoothly from doors open to load out

How the freelance work operates

- Shifts are posted in our Event Management comms
- Work can be picked up as and when it suits you
- Each event includes advancing beforehand as well as delivery on the day
- Pay varies depending on the event and shift, and reflects both the advancing and on-the-day work
- We’ll give you the tools, templates and access you need to advance and run your events
