Full-time and Part-time Positions Available

Pay: $18–$20 per hour + tips, based on experience

Daymi is seeking Front of House Team Members to join our team at our Yonge Street location.

The Front of House Team Member is responsible for providing friendly, prompt and consistent service while maintaining Daymi's standards for hospitality, cleanliness and organization. The position includes guest service, order taking, table service, takeaway and delivery preparation, payment processing, and maintaining the dining and guest areas throughout service.

Responsibilities

- Greet and welcome guests in a professional and friendly manner
- Take and enter orders accurately using the POS system
- Develop a thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, allergens and preparation methods
- Serve food accurately and promptly and provide attentive service throughout the guest experience
- Communicate allergies and special requests clearly to the kitchen
- Recommend appropriate menu items, sides, beverages and add-ons
- Prepare, package and verify takeaway and delivery orders
- Pack, seal and label catering orders accurately
- Process payments and complete required end-of-shift POS procedures
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dining room, entrance, restrooms and other guest areas
- Reset tables and restock FOH supplies throughout service
- Monitor FOH inventory and communicate low-stock items to management




- Respond appropriately to guest concerns and escalate issues to management when required
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and management to support smooth service
- Follow all opening, service, closing, cleaning, sanitation and food-safety procedures
- Perform other FOH duties as required to support restaurant operations

Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a restaurant or similar hospitality environment
- Must be available to work weekends
- Strong guest service and communication skills
- Highly organized, clean and detail-oriented
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Comfortable using point-of-sale systems and processing payments
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a shift and lift/carry stock up to 20 kg
- Strong English communication skills; Arabic is an asset
- Food Handler Certificate is an asset
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
