Join the University of Calgary as a Project Finance Administrator. In this full-time role, you will provide essential finance and accounting support while ensuring compliance with agency guidelines. Reporting to the Manager, Research Accounting, this Limited Term position will last for approximately 6 months.
You will be responsible for processing project expenditures and journal entries, while collaborating with project holders. Robust analytical skills and proactive problem-solving are vital as you navigate multiple deadlines under pressure. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform compliance reviews on project documentation
- Assist project holders in reconciling accounts
- Advise on transactions such as salaries and reallocation of costs
- Help prepare financial statements and special reports
- Respond to time-sensitive requests for information Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or accounting
- Minimum 3 years of related experience
- Experience with financial systems and MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of Public Sector Accounting Standards
- CPA program enrollment is a plus Utilize your finance expertise to ensure compliance and support key projects at the University of Calgary.
