Overview

Global X is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Fund Operations Analyst to join its Fund Operations team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in fund accounting, financial reporting, investment operations, and fund administration while working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operations of a suite of investment funds, helping to ensure the accuracy of fund accounting records, timely financial reporting, and the efficient execution of operational processes. This individual will work closely with internal teams, fund administrators, custodians, auditors, and other service providers.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a high level of attention to detail, and a desire to learn and grow within the investment management industry.

Key Responsibilities

Fund Accounting:

- Support daily, weekly, and monthly fund accounting processes for investment funds.
- Assist with validating net asset value (NAV) calculations, accruals, income allocations, and portfolio valuations.
- Investigate and escalate accounting discrepancies, valuation exceptions, and reconciliation breaks.
- Monitor fund expenses and assist with ensuring proper accounting treatment.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and operational initiatives.
- Assist with capstock activity.

Financial Reporting:

- Assist in preparing annual and interim financial statements.




- Support the preparation and review of financial disclosures and regulatory reporting.
- Assist with audit requests and the collection of supporting documentation.
- Support implementation of new accounting and reporting requirements.

Distribution Support:

- Assist with operational activities related to fund distributions.
- Support the calculation and validation of distribution rates and investor allocations.
- Assist in preparing distribution-related reporting and communications.
- Support tax-related reporting and distribution processes.

Oversight & Controls:

- Monitor and reconcile service provider deliverables.
- Support maintenance of operational controls and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Assist with compliance reviews, audits, and regulatory examinations.
- Participate in operational risk management initiatives.

Collaboration:

- Work closely with Fund Operations, Portfolio Management, Compliance, Finance, and external service providers.
- Participate in projects, system enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
- Support management and senior team members with analysis and special projects.

Qualifications

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
- Completion of or progress toward CPA, CFA, or another relevant professional designation is considered an asset.

Experience:

- 1 to 3 years of experience in fund accounting, fund administration, investment operations, accounting, or financial services.
- Experience with ETFs, mutual funds, or investment funds is an asset.
- Exposure to fund accounting, NAV calculations, reconciliations, or financial reporting is preferred.
- Co-op or internship experience within asset management or financial services will be considered.

Technical Skills:

- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.




- Comfortable working with large datasets and financial information.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, VBA, Power BI, Python, or automation tools is considered an asset.

This opportunity is for an existing vacancy within the organization. The anticipated annual base salary range for the Fund Operations Analyst is $60,000 to $75,000. The exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and budget.
