Gaming & TCG Technical Associate

Vaulted YYC is looking for a Gaming & TCG Technical Associate who is knowledgeable about video games, gaming hardware, Pokémon TCG, and collectibles.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working hands-on with gaming consoles and electronics while also helping manage online inventory, pricing, and product listings.

We are looking for someone who is somewhat technically inclined. You don't need to be an advanced electronics technician, we are willing to train the right candidate — but you should be comfortable working with consoles, computers, electronics, and online platforms.

Main Responsibilities

- Test retro and modern video game consoles, controllers, games, and accessories
- Perform basic troubleshooting and diagnose common console issues
- Complete light repairs and basic maintenance when required
- Clean and refurbish consoles, controllers, cartridges, discs, and accessories
- Prepare used gaming products for resale
- Research current market values and help price inventory
- Create and manage online listings for games, consoles, Pokémon cards, and collectibles
- Take clean product photos and write accurate online descriptions
- Update pricing and inventory as market values change
- Identify different console models, revisions, accessories, and generations
- Help evaluate products brought in for buy, sell, or trade
- Assist with Pokémon TCG singles, sealed products, and collectibles
- Organize and maintain inventory
- Assist customers when needed

Technical Skills We're Looking For Experience or knowledge in some of the following is preferred:
- Retro and modern gaming consoles
- Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox, Sega, and handheld systems
- Basic console and controller troubleshooting




- Cleaning and maintaining electronics
- Light electronics repair
- Computers and general technology
- Online marketplaces and product listings
- Researching and comparing market prices
- Pokémon TCG and collectible pricing
- Identifying authentic, aftermarket, and reproduction gaming products

Experience with soldering, console repair, PC building, electronics repair, or refurbishing gaming hardware is a strong asset but not required.

The Right Candidate

- Technically inclined and comfortable learning new systems
- Passionate about video games and gaming hardware
- Familiar with Pokémon TCG or willing to learn
- Detail-oriented when testing, cleaning, and pricing products
- Comfortable researching products and prices online
- Reliable and able to work independently
- Organized and careful when handling higher-value products
- Willing to learn our testing, pricing, and inventory procedures

You don't need to know everything on day one. If you already have a strong interest in gaming, electronics, Pokémon, or collectibles and have the technical mindset to learn, we can train you on the rest. Job Type: Part-time with potential for additional hours
