Become a key part of the care team at Gateway Haven in Wiarton, Ontario, as a Recreation and Leisure Aide. This part time role involves designing therapeutic recreation programs that benefit the elderly's well-being. Reporting to the Recreation & Leisure Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of activities across all five health domains aimed at enhancing residents’ quality of life.
Your expertise in recreation studies and hands-on experience in geriatric settings will allow you to make a significant impact through engaging, restorative programming. A positive attitude and solid organizational skills are essential in this fulfilling position. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and review recreational calendars for residents
- Facilitate programs that meet physical and intellectual health needs
- Evaluate resident engagement and program success
- Work collaboratively with families and staff
- Ensure activities meet applicable health care regulations Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in recreation or related discipline
