General Labourer – Manufacturing

Smart Hydronics Corporation is a growing Canadian manufacturing company specializing in innovative insulation products for hydronic and floor heating applications. We are looking for two reliable and motivated General Labourersto join our manufacturing team in Burlington, Ontario.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and hands-on General Labourer to support our manufacturing and production operations. The successful candidate will assist with production, material handling, assembly, packaging, quality inspection, and general warehouse activities.

This is a full time, permanent position with regular daytime hours. Previous experience in manufacturing, EPS, plastics, or foam production is an asset, but training will be provided to the right candidate.

Responsibilities

- Assist with daily manufacturing and production activities.
- Assist with the operation of production equipment following training and established procedures.
- Handle EPS foam products, raw materials, and finished products.
- Assist with assembly, trimming, packaging, labeling, and preparation of products for shipment.
- Use basic hand tools and power tools as required.
- Load, unload, move, and organize materials and finished products.
- Perform basic product inspections and quality-control checks.
- Assist machine operators and other production personnel.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe production and warehouse areas.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
- Lift and move materials and finished products weighing up to 50 lb.
- Report equipment or production issues to the appropriate supervisor.




- Work with team members to achieve daily production goals.
- Perform other general manufacturing duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in manufacturing, EPS, plastics, foam production, or a similar industrial environment is an asset.
- Forklift / lift-truck operating experience is an asset.
- Scissor-lift operating experience is an asset.
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with basic hand and power tools are an asset.
- Previous warehouse or material-handling experience is an asset.
- Ability to perform physical work throughout the workday.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lb.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and workplace safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- No specific degree, diploma, or certificate is required.
- Training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Schedule & Compensation
- $18.00 per hour
- Full-time, permanent
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Day shift
- Training provided
