Job Summary

Northern Shield Exteriors is looking for a motivated General Labourer to join our growing exterior construction team on a full-time basis for the remainder of the 2026 season.

We specialize in residential exterior renovations, including siding, roofing, windows and doors, brick work, soffit, fascia, and eavestrough. This is a hands-on position where you'll work alongside experienced installers, learn recent skills, and have the opportunity to grow with our company.

What You'll Do:

You will support our crew across a variety of residential exterior projects. Day-to-day responsibilities may include:

Site Preparation & Safety

- Set up and organize ladders, scaffolding, safety equipment, and work areas
- Help establish safe boundaries around active work zones
- Prepare job sites for the day's work and ensure materials and tools are safely positioned

Material Handling

- Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials around the job site
- Move siding panels, trim, soffit, fascia, roofing materials, windows, doors, and other materials to work areas
- Assist with loading and securing materials and equipment at the end of each day

Assisting Installers

- Assist experienced installers with siding, roofing, windows and doors, brick work, soffit, fascia, and eavestrough
- Hold and position materials during installation
- Take measurements and assist with marking and cutting materials
- Use basic hand and power tools safely and properly
- Learn proper installation techniques and develop your construction skills

Job Site Cleanup

- Removal of old construction materials
- Collect and dispose of debris throughout the workday
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Assist with cleaning up and packing away tools and equipment at the end of each shift

General Construction Support





- Assist with whatever tasks are required to keep the crew productive and the project moving
- Follow directions from installers and supervisors
- Work safely at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and company equipment
- Take on additional responsibilities as your skills and experience develop

What We're Looking For:

- Previous construction or exterior renovation experience is an asset
- Valid Working at Heights certification
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle for travel to and from job sites
- Comfortable working at heights, including ladders and scaffolding
- Physically capable of lifting materials and performing demanding, hands-on work
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools, or willing to learn
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Able to follow instructions and work safely
- Positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team
- Leadership mindset – motivated to improve and grow with the team
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills

Pay: $17.60-$25.00 per hour
