Join the Royal Niagara Golf Course Team as a Grounds Maintenance Worker!

At Kaneff Golf’s Royal Niagara Golf Course, we’re seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Worker who can maintain the pristine condition of our grounds and buildings. This is a very independent position, perfect for those who take pride in their work and can ensure the daily appearance of our course is up to par.

What You’ll Do - Grounds Maintenance Responsibilities

- Maintain the beauty of our course by cutting grass, trimming weeds, planting greenery, and applying mulch.
- Keep our facilities clean and welcoming by washing windows, emptying trash cans, and performing general cleaning duties.
- Use your handy skills to repair and paint benches, tables, guardrails, and assist in the repair of roads, walks, buildings, and mechanical equipment.
- Perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks, and direct larger problems to the supervisor.
- Assist other golf course departments in all projects/services as directed.
- Self-initiate activities consistent with KaneffGolf visual standards and department’s goals and objectives.

Turf Responsibilities:

- Turf Maintenance – Keep our greens, fairways, and roughs in top shape with mowing, trimming, and edging.
- Course Setup – Help prepare the course for daily play by setting up tee markers, changing hole positions, and maintaining bunkers.
- Landscaping & Groundskeeping – Assist with planting, mulching, and other landscaping projects to beautify the course.
- Course Presentation – Ensure the clubhouse, pathways, and surrounding areas are clean and inviting for golfers.

Irrigation Responsibilities:

- Keep our greens in top shape by assisting with irrigation system operations and maintenance.




- Monitor and adjust irrigation schedules to ensure optimal water distribution.
- Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs to keep systems running efficiently.
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides under expert guidance.
- Maintain accurate records of chemical applications, equipment servicing, and irrigation schedules.
- Work closely with our experienced groundskeeping team to assess and improve turf conditions.
- Keep our maintenance facilities and storage areas clean and organized.
- Follow all safety protocols related to chemical handling and application.

What We’re Looking For:

- Ability to work variable hours and outside for long periods of time in all kinds of weather.
- Physical strength and endurance to perform tasks that require these abilities.
- Comfortable with walking, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions and specifications.
- Ability to understand and communicate written instructions.
- Skillful hands to do a variety of tasks.
- Basic arithmetic skills to measure, compute the amount of materials to use, and inspect the product to ensure it conforms to requirements.
