Become a Utility Operator with Hemlock Valley Utilities in Agassiz, BC, focusing on essential water and wastewater operations. This dynamic position offers a mix of outdoor tasks and machinery operation. We are looking for an energetic Utility Operator ready to tackle a variety of challenges in a remote mountain setting.
In this active role, you will conduct routine checks, maintain utility systems, and assist in repairs. Although utility experience is a plus, we encourage candidates with a mechanical background and a good work ethic to apply. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain water and wastewater systems
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks
- Collect samples and accurately log data
- Identify and report operational issues promptly
- Assist with general utility maintenance tasks Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical skills and eagerness to learn
- Equipment operating experience is an asset
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
