Our client is an cutting-edge company specializing in the design and manufacturing of custom furniture and millwork solutions for the commercial, hospitality, and retail sectors. Reporting directly to the President, the Director of Human Resources will serve as a trusted business partner to the executive leadership team, providing strategic guidance on all people-related matters while ensuring operational excellence across the HR function.
The successful candidate will coach and advise senior leaders and mid-level managers, lead talent acquisition initiatives, support organizational growth, oversee compensation strategies, and ensure effective management of health and safety programs across multiple locations. Align HR strategies and initiatives with business objectives and growth plans. Lead and actively participate in the recruitment of management, professional, and key operational talent.
Build and manage relationships with external recruitment firms, executive search partners, and specialized talent providers. Advise managers on employee relations matters,
disciplinary actions, performance issues, and workplace conflict resolution. Develop, enhance, and maintain HR policies, programs, and best practices.
Support the harmonization of HR processes and practices across international operations. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field. CHRP, CRIA, CRHA, SHRM, or equivalent designation considered an asset.
Minimum of 8 to 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience.
Experience supporting multi-site and/or international operations. Strong expertise across multiple HR disciplines, including talent acquisition, organizational development, employee relations, compensation, and health and safety. Proven ability to influence and advise senior leaders and executives.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
