Role Description The Human Resources Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in North York, ON, responsible for overseeing end-to-end HR operations in a fast-paced visual effects environment. This role manages recruitment and onboarding, talent development, performance management processes, and employee relations, ensuring a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

The Human Resources

Manager administers compensation and benefits programs, supports workforce planning, and ensures compliance with employment laws and internal policies. Day-to-day responsibilities include advising leaders on HR best practices, handling confidential employee matters,



maintaining HR records and systems, and supporting change management and organizational initiatives. The role also drives HR projects that enhance engagement, retention, and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
- Knowledge of Canadian employment legislation, HR policies, and compliance practices, particularly within Ontario.
- Strong skills in conflict resolution, coaching, and providing guidance to team members and leaders.
- Ability to manage HR data, maintain accurate records, and work with HRIS and related systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills across diverse teams.
- Proven organizational and time-management abilities, with experience handling multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.
- Experience in media, entertainment, or creative industries is an asset, along with familiarity with project-based or studio workforces.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (e.g., CHRP/CHRL) is considered an advantage.
