Drive infection prevention excellence as an Infection Control Professional at Unity Health Toronto. In this vital role, you will enhance safety through effective measures in a long-term care setting. Located at the Providence site of Houses of Providence, the Infection Control Skilled works closely with the IPAC team to develop and coordinate essential surveillance activities.

This role demands collaboration with clinicians, staff, and families on best practices to prevent infections, ensuring quality care centered on residents’ needs.

Your impact will guide education and policy development in infection control. Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct surveillance and manage outbreak responses
- Develop strategies to reduce healthcare-associated infections




- Monitor daily infection data and quality improvement
- Engage staff and clinicians in infection control measures
- Provide targeted education on IPAC best practices Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Microbiology, or related discipline
- Recent infection control experience in long-term care
- Certification from CBIC or commitment to obtain
- Knowledge of epidemiology and teaching techniques
