POSITION OVERVIEW:
As a member of our operations team, the Install Coordinator plays an important role in supporting the planning, coordination and execution of installation projects. Working closely with the Project Manager, Install Managers, Superintendents, field teams, subcontractors, and clients, this position helps ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with project requirements.
This role combines office-based project coordination with hands-on field support and is well suited to someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment. The Install Coordinator will support project documentation, scheduling, permits, quality control, subcontractor coordination, and client communication while gaining exposure to projects throughout their full lifecycle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review project scopes, drawings, specifications, schedules, and requirements to support effective project execution.
- Communicate with clients regarding timelines, deliverables, project requirements, and progress for assigned and smaller-scale projects.
- Prepare and coordinate project submittals, including drawings, policies, procedures, clearance letters, insurance documentation, quality records,
and safety submissions.
- Obtain and coordinate permits, utility locates, and other approvals required for project execution.
- Attend project kick-off, pre-construction, progress, shutdown, and closeout meetings as required.
- Coordinate subcontractors and third-party service providers to support project schedules, specifications, safety requirements, and deliverables.
- Provide on-site coordination and field support during project kick-offs, critical activities, deficiency resolution, and project completion.
- Prepare work orders and coordinate project requirements with Superintendents and field operations.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular reporting on labour hours, completed work, outstanding requirements, and project status.
- Perform quality control checks and coordinate the identification and resolution of project deficiencies.
- Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including drawings, permits, field reports, quality records, correspondence, and closeout documentation.
- Support project closeout activities and ensure required documentation and outstanding deliverables are completed.
- Identify and escalate project risks, delays, scope changes, and operational concerns to project leadership in a timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology,
Project Management, Business, or a related field is considered an asset.
- 1–3 years of experience in project coordination, construction, installation services, infrastructure, field operations, or a related environment is preferred.
- Experience supporting construction or infrastructure projects is considered an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate project documentation.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work professionally with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project and operational requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn project management and operational software.
- Ability to work independently within assigned responsibilities while collaborating effectively with project and field teams.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with the ability to travel to project and client sites as required.
- Flexibility to occasionally work outside regular business hours to support project schedules, shutdowns, or site requirements.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
