Join Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society as an Intensive Child Development Specialist, focusing on in-home service delivery for children ages 0-12. This role requires direct engagement with families facing significant challenges. You will provide comprehensive support through the Family Resource Network at the Kikosewin Hub in East Edmonton.
Handling a full caseload of 20-25 families, your responsibilities include individualized assessments and creating effective support plans. Your work will help nurture childhood development and provide critical resources and advocacy for caregivers. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and assess referrals from different community sources
- Develop tailored support plans with caregivers and families
- Document progress and maintain records in alignment with program standards
- Facilitate transition planning for ongoing family support
- Collaborate with other service providers for holistic care Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in a relevant field such as Social Work
- Hands-on experience with young children and complex family needs
- Expert knowledge of culturally grounded and trauma-informed care
- Valid driver's license and capacity for travel across Edmonton
- Thorough background checks and certification in First Aid/CPR Utilize your expertise to provide vital support and enhance the lives of families in our community.
