Duties

- Perform comprehensive diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on heavy-duty machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm equipment
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems effectively
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely to disassemble, repair, or assemble machinery parts
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks using appropriate industrial equipment while adhering to safety protocols
- Inspect machinery for wear and tear; perform routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns
- Document all repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities accurately in maintenance logs

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic with mining or industrial equipment background preferred




- Robust mechanical knowledge across various systems including hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical components
- Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex systems
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members regarding repairs or maintenance issues
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in demanding environments safely
- Valid certification as a journeyman/woman mechanic or equivalent qualification
