Become an Arena Maintenanceperson with the City of Greater Sudbury for a seasonal, part-time opportunity. Perform essential maintenance, ice resurfacing, and support community events at various arenas.
This role is ideal for individuals with at least three years of experience in maintaining similar facilities and who possess a Refrigeration Operator “B” Certificate or Basic Refrigeration Level 1. You will engage in tasks such as maintaining the ice surface and assisting with various upkeep responsibilities while ensuring quality customer service for users of the arena facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain ice surface using refrigeration systems and resurfacer
• Conduct regular ice maintenance schedule, including edging and logos




• Perform janitorial duties within the arena buildings
• Deliver supplies and requisition materials as needed
• Supervise part-time maintenance staff and ensure safety protocols
Requirements:
• Three years’ experience in facility maintenance
• Refrigeration Operator “B” Certificate or Level 1
• Solid customer service and interpersonal skills
• Basic knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable record
