Multimatic Inmet manufactures fully engineered, high quality components, assemblies and systems such as bumpers and chassis/body structural components for high volume vehicle manufacturers.
Multimatic Inmet is seeking a highly motivated, and detailed oriented Junior Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance Team. Reporting into the Maintenance Manager, this entry-level role is ideal for someone eager to grow in industrial maintenance, with exposure to hands-on repairs, vendor coordination, and project assistance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Electrode inspection and installation
- Building systems preventative maintenance
- Motoman, Fanuc and Fronius welder – clean, change filters and coolant
- Responsible for daily preventative maintenance activities
- Lubricate various pieces of equipment
- Washline maintenance
- Work with Contractors
- Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager
- Overtime as required
- Works in compliance with IATF16949 and ISO14001 standards
- Will work in a safe manner at all times and in compliance with all legislative requirements of the OHSA
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2 year Millwright pre-apprenticeship would be an asset
- Forklift license would be an asset
- DIYer – mechanical/electrical repairs
- Experience with hand tools
- Worked in a related field
- Strong verbal and written communications
- Basic excel and word software skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Must be able to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Strong problem solving techniques
- Ability to interact with all levels of employees in the organization
- Robust attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be able to work day shift (8:00AM – 4:10PM)
