Become a Mechanic with the Kativik Regional Government in beautiful Nunavik. This seasonal opportunity focuses on maintaining and repairing heavy equipment and vehicles for metal recycling projects. The KRG is looking for a dedicated individual to fill the Mechanic role.

You will report to the Residual Material Management Coordinator and will be responsible for ensuring all machinery runs smoothly through timely documentation and maintenance. Working collaboratively with your team, you will also contribute to developing a preventive maintenance strategy. Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain and repair machinery, including excavators and tractors
- Ensure complete documentation of repairs and maintenance
- Manage spare parts procurement effectively
- Implement preventive maintenance plans as needed
- Oversee secure decommissioning processes for equipment Requirements:
- DEP in heavy equipment or related certification
- Valid driver's license needed
- 3-5 years of experience in vehicle mechanics
- Familiarity with welding tasks
- Bilingual proficiency in Inuktitut, English, or French Contribute your mechanical expertise to the KRG’s critical projects in the Nunavik region.
