Lead Hand Carpenter / Working Foreman – Penticton, BC

Aerial West Construction Ltd. is looking for an experienced Lead Hand Carpenter / Working Foreman to join our team in Penticton and the South Okanagan.

We are looking for someone who is not only a strong carpenter, but who can take responsibility for a job site, manage a crew, organize daily work, and keep projects moving efficiently.

This is a hands-on position. You will be expected to work alongside the crew while providing leadership and direction.

Responsibilities

- Lead and manage a small construction crew
- Organize daily tasks and keep workers productive
- Read and understand construction drawings and plans
- Layout and complete carpentry work accurately
- Coordinate materials, tools, equipment, and site requirements
- Maintain quality workmanship and job-site standards
- Keep projects moving according to schedule
- Communicate with project management, subcontractors, and other trades
- Identify problems early and help find practical solutions
- Maintain a clean and safe job site
- Train and guide less-experienced crew members
- Assist with concrete forming, foundations, framing, renovations, and general construction as required

Experience We Are Looking For
- 7+ years of carpentry/construction experience preferred
- Previous experience as a Lead Hand, Foreman, Site Supervisor, or Crew Leader
- Strong framing and general carpentry experience
- Concrete forming and foundation experience is a major asset
- Concrete placing and finishing experience also a major asset




- Able to read plans and complete layouts
- Comfortable managing and directing workers
- Able to work independently without constant supervision
- Solid understanding of construction sequencing
- Reliable, organized, and able to communicate clearly
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
- Own basic hand tools preferred

Location: Penticton / South Okanagan, BC/Kelowna Employment: Full time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional additional hours depending on project requirements.

Compensation: Competitive hourly wage based on experience, leadership ability, and overall construction knowledge.
