Role Description

We are looking for a friendly and energetic facilitator to assist apprentices in their Steamoji missions, inspire confidence and enthusiasm in STEM subjects, and provide a safe and fun atmosphere for children to experiment and develop a growth mindset.

Are you experienced in working with children? Do you enjoy teaching and building problem solving skills in young engineering minds? Have you mentored youth? This could be the role for you.

Qualifications





- Ability to facilitate hands-on learning activities and explain concepts clearly to children and youth.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage learners, families, and team members effectively.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and classroom management skills in educational or youth-focused settings.
- Interest in or exposure to STEAM fields (science, technology, engineering, arts, math), such as coding, robotics, maker projects, or design.
- Organizational skills for preparing materials, managing time during sessions, and following safety procedures.
- Ability to work on-site in Richmond Hill, ON during after-school hours, evenings, and/or weekends as needed.
- Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, camp counseling, or working with children or youth is an asset.
- Post-secondary coursework or training in education, child development, STEM/STEAM, or a related field is considered an advantage.

Currently, we have a young and dedicated team of 8 people. We are opening two more locations in the next 2 years: one in Markham Unionville(Sep 2026) and another in Richmond Hill North; there are growth opportunities to become a full time academy director, assistant manager, or lead facilitator for the next location!
