Services is hiring a Lifeskills Literacy Instructor (LINC) to deliver specialized lessons for newcomers in Peel, Ontario. As an instructor, you will implement a curriculum that aligns with the Canadian Language Benchmarks, creating inclusive and agile learning experiences in a bilingual format. Your proficiency in American Sign Language and adept use of technology will enhance learners' communication abilities. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct language instruction sessions using American Sign Language
- Develop interactive and engaging lesson plans
- Incorporate digital tools for instruction and communication
- Teach vital life skills for successful adaptation in Canada
- Assess learner outcomes and provide feedback on progress Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent experience
- 2-3 years of related instructional experience
- Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Understanding of Deaf culture and community engagement
