Role Description The Logistics Specialist – International Imports Ocean & Air is a full-time, on-site role based in Cambridge, ON. This position is responsible for coordinating and managing international import shipments via ocean and air, including booking cargo, preparing documentation, and monitoring shipment status from origin to destination. The role involves liaising with carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery, regulatory compliance, and accurate data entry within company systems.

The Logistics

Specialist will respond to customer inquiries, resolve shipment issues,



and provide proactive shipment updates to maintain strong client relationships. Daily tasks also include analyzing shipment details for cost efficiency, maintaining organized records, and supporting continuous process improvements within the international logistics operations.

Qualifications

- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with clients, carriers, and internal teams.
- Analytical Skills to review shipment data, identify issues, and optimize routing and costs.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Management and Export/Import processes, including documentation and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with international ocean and air freight operations, including carrier bookings and customs procedures.
- Proficiency with logistics software, transportation management systems, and standard office applications (e.g., Excel, Word).
- Ability to work on-site in Cambridge, ON, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accuracy under time constraints.
- Relevant post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Asset: prior experience in a freight forwarding or global logistics workplace and familiarity with Canadian and international trade regulations.
