Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Loss Prevention Officer to join our security team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in safeguarding company assets, preventing theft, and maintaining a secure environment across our facilities. This position offers an opportunity to utilize law enforcement experience and surveillance skills in a dynamic retail or corporate setting.

The Loss Prevention

Officer will be responsible for monitoring activities, investigating incidents, and implementing security protocols to deter loss and ensure safety.

Duties

- Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to monitor store or facility activity for suspicious behavior.
- Observe and identify potential theft or security breaches through active monitoring and patrols.
- Respond promptly to incidents, including theft, vandalism, or safety hazards, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary and assist in investigations related to theft or security violations.
- Maintain detailed records of incidents, observations, and actions taken during shifts.
- Implement loss prevention strategies by educating staff on security procedures and best practices.




- Conduct routine inspections of premises to identify vulnerabilities or safety concerns.
- Assist with training new team members on surveillance procedures and loss prevention policies.

Requirements

- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or loss prevention is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of surveillance systems, CCTV operation, and security protocols.
- Excellent observational skills with the ability to recognize suspicious activities quickly.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining vigilance throughout shifts.
- Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond swiftly when needed.
- Must be able to pass background checks and any required security clearances. This role is essential in protecting company assets while ensuring a safe setting for employees and customers alike.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent Pay: $20.76-$22.85 per hour
