We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee daily maintenance operations at our client s manufacturing facility close to Winnipeg, MB.
Shift - Day
Pay - Up to $100K
Job Responsibilities
- Promote a safe work environment and ensure employees follow company safety standards.
- Provide the necessary resources and support to meet safety and operational goals.
- Track, review, and improve safety performance across the facility.
- Communicate health and safety requirements to employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Develop and implement plans to improve facility operations and performance.
- Monitor daily operations and ensure processes are running effectively.
- Manage company equipment, assets, and resources efficiently.
- Support employee development, training, and succession planning.
- Coach and mentor team members to help achieve business goals.
- Develop transparent work procedures and improve team skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Apply Lean manufacturing principles and production best practices.
- Monitor team performance and maintain accurate records.
- Work with other departments and leaders to identify problems,
determine root causes, and implement solutions.
- Support and manage approved capital improvement projects.
- Manage inventory and ensure plant equipment is properly maintained.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong planning, organization, and time-management skills.
- Good decision‑making and problem‑solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience working in a plant or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced and high‑pressure environment.
- Knowledge of workplace safety programs and Lean manufacturing practices.
- Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills.
- Ability to train, coach, and mentor team members.
Education & Experience
- Millwright certification is an asset.
- First Aid, Hazard Identification, and WHMIS certifications are preferred.
- Previous plant or manufacturing experience with supervisory responsibilities.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and quality control systems.
