Alberta Mortgage Associate – Remote

LeSolace Corporation is looking for a Mortgage Associate who lives in Alberta and wants to build a long-term career in the mortgage industry.

This is a fully remote, commission-based contract chance. Experienced associates are welcome, but previous mortgage experience is not required. Newly licensed associates and people completing their Alberta mortgage licensing requirements are encouraged to apply.

About LeSolace

LeSolace is a boutique Canadian mortgage brokerage. We are not trying to be the largest brokerage. Our focus is providing practical support, understanding the complete file and finding mortgage solutions that make sense for the client.

We work with residential, alternative, private, self-employed, investment and commercial mortgage files.

What You Will Do

- Build your own client and referral network through prospecting, networking and follow-up.
- Speak with clients about their mortgage needs and financial situation.
- Review income, credit, debt, down payment, equity and property information.
- Collect and organize the documents required for each application.
- Help structure and package mortgage files for lender review.
- Communicate with clients, lenders, lawyers, appraisers and referral partners.
- Maintain accurate notes, records and compliance documentation.
- Follow files from the initial conversation through approval and funding.

What We Are Looking For

- You currently live in Alberta.
- You are licensed with RECA or are completed the RECA courses and are ready to become licensed.
- You communicate clearly and are comfortable asking financial questions.

- You are organized and pay close attention to documents and deadlines.
- You follow through without needing to be chased.
- You are comfortable prospecting and developing professional relationships.
- You can work independently in a remote environment.
- You are comfortable using online systems, CRM software and digital documents.
- You are honest, coachable and willing to learn.
- You understand the importance of privacy, compliance and proper documentation.

Experience in banking, lending, real estate, insurance, sales or financial services is helpful but not required.

What LeSolace Provides

- Practical onboarding and guidance for new associates.
- Direct access to the broker for file review and lender strategy.
- Access to residential, alternative, private and commercial lenders.
- Support with file packaging, lender selection and complex borrower situations.
- A fully remote and flexible working environment.
- An opportunity to learn different areas of mortgage lending.

Compensation

This is an independent contractor, commission-based opportunity. It does not include a salary or hourly wage, and mortgage leads are not guaranteed. Associates are expected to develop their own clients and referral relationships.

The commission structure will be reviewed during the interview and confirmed before joining the brokerage.

How to Apply

Please submit your resume along with a short message that includes:

1. Where you live in Alberta.
2. Your current RECA licensing status.
3. Any relevant financial services, sales or client-service experience.
4. How you plan to develop clients and referral relationships.

Only applicants who live in Alberta will be considered.
