: As a member of Mental Health and Addiction Services, the Community Mental Health Nurse is an integral member of the multidisciplinary team providing intensive case management to individuals with chronic and persistent mental illness. These services are provided within an individual and group context.
Responsibilities include intensive case management, medication management, crisis intervention, counselling, goal planning, consultation to community agencies, group/community education, student mentoring, documentation, client/family and public education, advocacy, and mental health promotion.

Experience
- 3 yrs exp in a MH setting working with clients with acute/chronic mental illness
- 3 years experience in a community or acute mental health setting
Education
- Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing (BPN)
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR)
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
Other Education and Training
- Professional Assault Response Training (PART)
- Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Bachelor of Nursing is acceptable
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
- Workplace Assessment & Violence Education (WAVE)
- Nursing diploma is acceptable
